Working meeting of representatives of Interpol member states as part of the “Kalkan” Interpol project


On October 31, a meeting of the Interpol Project Working Group was held at the city residence of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Colonel General of Police Rakhimzoda Ramazon Hamro, Interpol Secretary General Jürgen Stock and representatives of more than 20 countries.


During the meeting, the Minister of the Interior, Colonel General Militia Rakhimzoda Ramazon Hamro noted that the situation in the field of public security is complicated by factors of a global, global nature, such as international terrorism, extremism, and growing threats from terrorist organizations. He also noted that in the face of existing global threats, it is necessary to combine efforts and improve approaches to work, especially in the field of international search, detention and prosecution of criminals.


During the meeting, the Interpol Secretary General, Mr. Jürgen Stock, introduced a new project called “Kalkan”, which will be implemented to combat the threats of the modern world, such as terrorism and extremism. This project provides an opportunity for the exchange of information with many participating countries of Interpol.


During the event, the participants spoke about the mutual cooperation of the member states of Interpol, the detection and prevention of organized crime, the identification and analysis of channels of entry and exit of criminals across the border into conflict zones, the exchange of information and other areas of Interpol.

In conclusion, the Minister of the Interior congratulated Mr. Jürgen Stock on the occasion of his re-election as Secretary General of Interpol and wished him success in his career.
