On August 1 2019, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Police Major-General Navjuvonov Abdullo Shanbiyevich met with representatives of the US Congress Thomas Goffus, Maria Macnamar, Mark Morehouse and Erik Trager.
The meeting was also attended by the Chief of the Coordinating Headquarters of the Special Forces, Major General of the Militia Muhammadzoda Khurshed Izatullo, Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of the Interior, Militia Colonel Buhorizoda Mansur Goib and other officials.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation and providing technical assistance in the field of security.
They also exchanged views on the results of the implementation of military cooperation programs and their effectiveness in ensuring security and combating crime.
