Discussing crime prevention issues internationally


On March 26, 2019, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Major-General of Militia Umarzoda Ikrom Islom, directorate of the Central Office of the MIA of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the second secretary of the legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Murodbek Aslamzoda and director of global coverage and regional support of the General Secretariat Interpol Ms. Reraima Andriani.

During the meeting, Ikrom Umarzoda noted that with the full support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, cooperation between the National Interpol Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the General Secretariat of Interpol is being strengthened within the framework of agreements and regulatory documents.
The sides exchanged views on fruitful bilateral cooperation, solving and preventing crimes, detaining and neutralizing members of organizations of a terrorist and extremist nature, exchanging information, apprehending criminals who are wanted, and equipping structures with modern equipment and technology.


Roraima Andriani, noted that in order to expand the scope of activities and achieve new results, the leadership of the General Secretariat Interpol is ready to fully support and contribute to the detention of members of terrorist organizations and the prevention of crime.

In conclusion, the sides expressed confidence that such meetings would play an important role in strengthening further cooperation.
