Meeting with the Afghan delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Today, September 18, 2017, First deputy Minister of Internal Affairs major -general of the militia Alamshozoda Abdurahmon Alamsho met with representatives of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan headed by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Abdulhalil Bahtiyor.

The meeting was attended by the IRA: Muhammad Orif Nouri - Chief Prosecutor of the task force on criminal justice of the Center for drug lawsuits, Javad Malikzoy - Commander of the intelligence unit and the Inquiry Department of the Afghan narcotics police Department, Muhammad Gul Vachjdi - Commander of the national special units of this Department and Said Mahdi Kazemi - Press -secretary of the Department for combating drugs of the Police of Afghanistan, by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan: first deputy Director of the Agency for drug control under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Samad Zafar Tagoy, Head of the Department for combating organized crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, colonel of militia Azizulozoda Safialo, Head of the Service for the prevention of juvenile and youth crime prevention Colonel of militia Buhorizoda Mansour Goib, Head of Department of international cooperation Ministry of Internal Affairs colonel to the militia Solieva Zumrad Tuhtasinovna, deputy Head of the Department for combating illicit trafficking in narcotic substances in the Ministry of Internal Affairs colonel of the militia Sharifzoda Bahrom, deputy Head of the criminal investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel of the militia Habibulloev Safar and other officials.
Representatives of the US Embassy in Tajikistan, INL, UNODC and CARICC also took part.

At first, the first deputy Minister of the Interior, major -general of the militia Alamshozoda Abdurahmon Alamsho, welcomed the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for coming to the Republic of Tajikistan and expressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has close cooperation with the Afghanistan police, and some work has been done on the basis of the signed documents.In particular, cooperation with the border police of Afghanistan is developing; recently Afghan police officers have passed courses of professional development on the basis of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is always ready to support the training of highly qualified personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

At the meeting, the sides also discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, weapons, human trafficking and information exchange.

Deputy Minister of internal affairs of the Afghanistan Abdulkhalil Bahtiyor noted in his speech that police officers have similar duties and real friends.
It is gratifying that peace and tranquility prevail in Tajikistan; the people of Afghanistan appreciate the support of the Republic of Tajikistan. Only by joint efforts can we fight terrorism, not let them achieve strategic goals.
At the end of the meeting, an exchange of views was held on strengthening cooperation in the field of preventing illicit drug trafficking and other negative phenomena.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
